BON VOYAGE NAGOMI-SAN!!!   To our readers, let me do a short introduction to our staff Nagomi-san. She is pretty young Japanese lady started working with Splash year 2006; she also former staff of Ocean Wildlife Society (OWS) in Japan before coming to Palau. Her incredible experience and knowledge in ecotourism and environmental conservation brought her to this beautiful Island.

In 3 years as Nature Tour Guide, I witness her boundlessly admiration to our eco-system. She is a tough woman with untiring energy. Nevertheless, as days goes by, she wanted to learn more, discover, and explore more which she settle on leaving to fulfill this dream.

Now that she comes to her final edge, itfs time to say Sayonara! Adios! Aloha! Ciao! Bye-bye! Ta-ta! to your friends outthere. These wordsc.that sometimes after saying it, your tears will follow but may be saying goodbye is not really pitiful at all. Instead, promising a friend to gsee youh or gcatch youh later.

To Nagomi-san, in our heart where ever you go you are part of our team leaving us is not the end but itfs only a beginning of your new journey to other place. We say gGOODBYEh but we see you later to say gHELLOh dearest friend!

Mechikung! From Splash team, we are all wishing you nothing but Success!

Palau Diving Condition  OOOH yeac. Alii, and thank you for checking Splash site today. If you didnft check Palaufs weather for the past week c Let me just let you know that it was raining and was very windy. Even though it was so bad, Diving was still very good. Steven, one of our old timer dive guide/Instructor is telling me that he witnessed mantas in a feeding action at Ngerchong out side, on two different days. This is a dive site we go when we have this westerly wind. When I asked Sherlock, also one of our veteran guides about his dive last week, he said, gitfs been the same but a special highlight took place three days ago when they saw Dugong on the way out at Lighthouse channel. As for Angelo, the best guide said, gEven the weather is so bad, people still enjoy and have fun when diving with meh. Of course, they will see normal stuff like sharks, napoleons and school of reef fish with G.Ts and blue fin trevally chasing themc. And thatfs all for today.

Assistant Manager  Alii, Seasonfs greetings, and happy holydays from all the Splash staff. As the winter starts in other places, Palau gets warmer and lots of people are coming for their warm holyday vacation. Even migratory fish like Big-eye and Dog tooth tunas are coming for the warm water. There will be a chance to see big stuff like humpback whales and whale sharks during this time of the year (Dec. to March). Another treat that is unique during this period is the chance to see school of reef fish such as Orange-spine unicorn fish and Moorish Idol.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Wefll see you under water

Diving of course...  Alii my fellow divers. Just wanna download the info to ya`ll readers on how the diving has been lately for the past week. Well, the wind has been a real pain in the fins. It has been constantly blowing from the West, South or southwest which has in time formed huge waves and swells that has made it unsafe and almost impossible to make it out the reefs. Therefore, we have been as far as the beautiful wall known as Big drop off to as near as the famous Chandelier Cave and the Marine Lake. The one thing all these dive sites have in common is they are very known for the small stuff such as nudibranches, mandarin fishes, shrimps, squat lobsters, gobies and many more macro drive your eyes crazy kinna stuff. However, nevertheless, something bigger does come by to set your eyes at a free mode such as a turtle or a shark or even a ray.
But still , the outside reefs man...... gosh. It awaits our presence. I bet it`s sitting there right now wondering when will I take you and your friends out to have the best dive you`ll ever have. But only you know and i know the answer to that. And thats when it`s safe. That`s when.So until then my friend. Hey that ryhmes..lol peace out and take care

Splash Admin. Asst.:   1st week of May 2008, whatfs the latest innovative? Well, we spent the GOLDEN WEEK holiday similar to other previous years. In Palau most diving operation , room accommodation and reservation for tourist or other excursion activity is crowded even booked in advance because thatfs what exactly Golden week look like every year.

Hey! What is Golden Week Holiday means? Okay, for basic information this holiday is a collection of four National days within seven days. Let me tell you what the merriment days are!

1. April 29, (SHOWA DAY) Birthday of former Emperor Showa.
2. May 3, Constitution Day (Kenpo Kinenbi)
3. May 4, Greenery Day (Midori no hi)
4.May 5, Childrens Day (Kodomo no hi)

That is why if you notice, Japanese travelers and visitors specially during the month of May are all over places to celebrate. Now that the week is over of course we give ourselves a short break too. Is that sounds fair enough? And, as usual, the Splash Team, our Divers, Guides and Instructor are taking sometimes off too but of course getting ready for the next BIG one.

Yours truly is all set and ready because the whole family is geared up for FISHING trip so bye-bye for now!!!

Till next time!!!
